Periodontist or periotology is a brach of dentistry which studies the teeth structure and all the diseases that affect them. The mayor cause are terrible diseases are product of bacterias and the acommulation of gingiva (mucusal tissue) around the bone structure (gingivitis). Commonly it is divided anatomically into marginal, attached and interdental areas. A pink color and a swollen texture is very common in this cases. Medications: Medicated drugs, and other kind like steroids could (in some cases) cause periodontal diseases.
